Product Details
Me & Him Productions is proud to present Quarter Water Vol. 1, the first in a series of dance and club music edits and remixes. On this inaugural release, we bring you DJ Ayres who, fresh off tour with the celebrated Houston-based underground rap king Bun B, has teamed up with his Canadian counterpart Matty C to bring you the freshest in party, house, and dance edits. Having been on the music scene since 1996, Ayres is one of electronic music's remix giants, earning him sponsorship and an acclaimed radio show with Scion. Purveyor of the DJ collective The Rub, creator of mixtapes known worldwide, and a certified dance floor killer, Ayres has performed alongside Public Enemy, Diplo, Z-Trip, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chemical Brothers, and Mark Ronson and has garnered praise from New York Press, Urb, Fader, and Spin, amongst countless others. Matty C is no newcomer himself, with more than 30 vinyl releases to his credit and having shared the stage with DJ AM, Goldie, Alan Braxe and UK's Switch. He describes his style by saying, "my current style is no style, I just do what it takes to get people bouncin'."

Quarter Water Vol. 1 is jam packed with club-crushing anthems and dance edits guaranteed to bleed the bass from even the most expensive sound system. "Face Down" is a dance floor devastator concocted by Ayres, while "Push It Higher" boasts an artfully-crafted House twist on a popular Hip Hop original. On the B-side, Matty C breathes new life into House classics by chopping up the vocals and creating something brand new and completely undeniable on "Good Life" and "You Used to Exceed." With six songs altogether, Quarter Water Vol. 1 guarantees to satisfy every horn-crazed, hand clap-hungry, bass-loving crowd, and with Ayres and Matty C bringing this much heat on the first volume, there's no doubt that the Quarter Water series and Me & Him Productions will continue to keep fans thirsting for more.
