"Sambo Song" serves as the controversial yet enlightening follow up single to his debut single "Graffiti Rock" (TEG-BRK 061) which has gained critical acclaim and a wide variety of glowing press the world over. Ellis takes a long look through the eyes of a black actor and the role in he plays in cinema throughout three decades (1930s, 70s and 90s), and finds out that the more things change, the more they...well you know. The AA side "3 Steps" is produced by Rawkus Records signee Hezekiah (Black Thought, Musiq Soul Child, Freeway) and sketches out three stratigical steps in the human relationship with the opposite sex. "Pay Homage" finds Ellis introducing his Short Bus crew; providing their take on the classic posse cut complete with nods to some of their favorite lines and lyrics from Hip Hop's best. "Rookie" the non-album 12" exclusive boasts the funk of Marty MacFly and Raydar flexing the trials and tribulations about being a young cat starting out in the game/industry.
