Description
In their second collaborative full-length, Oakland, California-based front-man MC/Vocalist Seasunz and Brooklyn-based Producer/MC J.Bless, joined by multi-instrumentalist and producer Golden Horns, combine production and vocal talents to create a seminal "Green Hip Hop" album, which tackles topics including global warming, water scarcity and the "food-industrial complex." Their unique sound blends jazz, soul, afrobeat, dance and reggae influences with the classic thump of golden-era hip-hop. This album is the follow-up to 2007's "Solar Stereo."

Guest spots include stic.man of dead prez, Killah Priest, Zumbi of Zion I and MC/Vocalist Wes Restless of the Chicago-based groups Dynamic Vibrations and The Gents. Bonus track "Defend Her" is a dancehall banger produced by Konkrete Jungle and Little Island producers Tuffist and Jacky Murda and features reggae artist Rocker T and Jahiti of Baltimore fixture Brownfish on vocals.

Frontman emcee and vocalist Seasunz has toured and performed extensively on the West Coast, including joining Bay Area hip-hop/reggae group Wisdom Creations Band on several tours. He has also collaborated and toured with Bay Area breaks DJ and Producer Bassnectar on various recordings and performances. Seasunz has shared the stage with the likes of KRS-One, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Zion I, Dead Prez, Ozomatli, Damien and Stephen Marley, Michael Franti, Midnite, Steel Pulse and VP Records reggae artists Anthony B. and Warrior King.

J.Bless has produced and recorded on many projects with the Maspyke crew [Bukarance Records]. His solo work has been featured on various compilations, including "Speaking With Rhymes (Dub)" off Basement Soul - Volume 1 [UniqueUncut Records, England] and "Slick" off Rude Movements Mix#1 [NYC], which is to be re-released this fall on 7" by Vienna-based label The Loud Minority.
