Postcards From The Edge
If you loved the new Black Eyed Peas, you're gonna hate Uncle Traveling Matt. Matt is an MC/DJ/Producer from Vancouver, Canada and Postcards From The Edge is his debut album. The album took 3 long years to complete and is heavily influenced by late 80's, early 90's hip-hop. His lyrics are clever and humorous with lots of obscure references, and his beats are either jazzy and laid back or funky and hard hitting. Here's a little lyrical dose: "I'm always spittin' shit, just like those little kids, that hid, in the potty at the end of Schindler's List. If you've never heard of this, it really don't matter none, you'll jump like Eric Clapton's son, when I get the rappin' done." So, if you've ever given De La Soul's 3 Feet High & Rising as a Christmas present, you're not only a great friend, but Postcards From The Edge is the album for you. "It's time to make hip-hop fun again!"
