Closed Sessions: ATX
Closed Sessions: ATX is the second release from Chicago based indie label, Closed Sessions in partnership with RubyHornet.com and Decon Records. Due out March 15, the LP was recorded over the course of four days in Austin, Texas in March of 2010 during one of the largest independent music conferences in the country. Closed Sessions setup a full recording studio inside of a Texas Landmark mansion and invited artists in town for the conference to stop by. The album was created in a whirlwind of 24-hour sessions that featured artists from all over the country, and the album includes some of hip hop's rising stars and proven veterans. Artists include Freddie Gibbs, Naledge, GLC, Shawn Chrystopher, The Kid Daytona, as well as production from DJ Babu, DJ Fu, and Million $ Mano. In addition to recording the LP, Closed Sessions shot a 25-minute documentary which features highlights from the weeks events, as well as interviews with the Closed Sessions crew and artists. Both digital and physical copies of the album will feature bonus content including the Closed Sessions: ATX Documentary which offers a behind-the-scenes look into the recording of the album.
